David Campbell was having a fabulous tour. ‘Good Lovin’ Live’ was the biggest tour David had ever embarked upon and all 35 shows were sold out nationally. Sony Music chose the gorgeously ornate setting of the State Theatre in Sydney as the venue for the live recording and both David and the audience enjoyed a typically high-energy, flamboyant and memorable performance.
Elastic Wit Studios set out to capture all the character and vibrancy of the concert, collaborating with Luckiest Production and Sony Music on lighting and set direction to achieve the best possible result. With the movement and energy of David Campbell, guests such as Bob Downe running down the aisles, an 8-piece band and the heritage beauty of the State Theatre to capture, this also required a 6 RED camera shoot and our A-team to ensure success.
‘Good Lovin’ Live’ DVD achieved Platinum sales and hit Number 1 in the ARIA charts.
