The Royal Agricultural Society of NSW set themselves a high benchmark when they briefed their new Royal Easter Show DVD reel. The aim was to capture the essence of the Show’s real personality – its people. They entrusted Elastic Wit Studios with the project.
Elastic Wit Studios allowed a full 7-day shooting schedule to ensure they had the time to get every detail just right. The footage was shot on VariCAM DVC-PRO HD with Panavision lenses. It was shot at 60fps in High Definition, guaranteeing quality time and resolution manipulation in post-production prior to the production of a Standard Definition DVD. Shooting in HD was a way for Elastic Wit Studios to add value to the client, future proofing the footage for use at a later Image when HD is the ‘norm’.
